FEA Online is an approved supplier for:

MESSIER-DOWTY LTD (M-DL):
M-DL, member company of the SAFRAN Group, is the world leader in the design, development, manufacture and support of landing gear systems, garnering annual sales of € 594 million. Backed by a workforce of nearly 3,000 employees at 8 locations across Europe, North America and Asia, Messier-Dowty landing gear are in service on more than 19,000 aircraft making over 30,000 landings every day.
After a rigorous selection procedure FEA Online were awarded approved supplier status for complex FEA analysis of undercarriage components. FEA Online was able to demonstrate to M-DL that it could provide analysis capabilities that would match its own stringent requirements.
FEA Online was able to demonstrate that it could:-
- Successfully import and 'heal' M-DL CAD geometry prior to FE meshing.
- Mesh components according to M-DL requirements, including specific mesh densities in key component areas (see right).
- Apply loads and constraints according to accepted M-DL internal practices (force-balance, fully resolved forces, etc)
- Meet or exceed M-DL quality checking during each phase of the above.
Note: all results, FE models, reports and all other project output were presented via secure web pages, updated daily (see 'our service' page for more details).
Tom Siddall, Analysis Manager:
"The work that FEA Online has done has been excellent. Everyone at M-DL has been pleased with the results. I have used the results website and I am very impressed with it"
